Resurrection Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA proclaims God's Work, the gift of salvation for all people in Jesus Christ, and Our Hands, the response of the faithful to proclaim God's Work in worship and discipleship.
The ELCA is a denomination of over 10,000 congregations and just about five million members. The ELCA is also part of the Lutheran World Federation. To learn more about the ELCA, please click on the graphic to the right.
The ELCA is made up of sixty-five regional collections of congregations called synods. Resurrection Lutheran Church is part of the Northern Illinois Synod. 161 ELCA congregations in northern Illinois work together to "make Christ known in our congregations, our communities, our nation, and around the world."
